These earrings are created using hand formed Sussex Clay before being painted (using a mixture of underglazes) and fired. Varying colours are applied to the front and sides, leaving the rear unglazed and white so the natural quality of the clay can be appreciated. I have imprinted them with nots of leaf and bark to add texture and interest :)
The paints used are all second hand and I fire the clay only when there is spare space in a colleagues kiln (thanks to the Crafty Potter!!).
They are hung on sterling silver ear hooks coated with gold.
Comfortable to wear and completely unique as no 2 sets are the same. Your earrings will arrive in a smart recycled gift box tied with natural nettle string.
